How we started

 

"Piggy Banks? With plants in them???" You may wonder how such an idea came about. Well, this is how it happened. 

I have had a fondness for Piggy Banks my entire life. As a matter of fact, I have accumulated quite a Piggy Bank collection!! I have often wondered what I could 'do' with them that would be different and fun. Another of my passions in life is working with and caring for plants. I have a beautiful yard that I spend most of the summer working in, and a house FULL of lush plants of many sizes and varieties! 

Well, while in Portland, Oregon this past summer, I stumbled upon a little boutique store that I instantly fell in love with! In this store was a display of baby doll heads with plants sprouting out of them! And I thought, "What an ingenious and totally fun way to reinvent an old dolls' head!!"

I absolutely LOVED this concept and I couldn't stop thinking about such a clever use of these vintage Dolls! I just needed to come up with an idea as unique as this, but I was stumped?!? 

And then it hit me like a bolt of lightning! I can combine 2 things I am passionate about...........

PIGGY BANKS!!!!!!!!!!!! -- and -- PLANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 'Sports Piggies', 'Holiday Piggies', 'International Piggies' from across the globe!!! I have 'Piggy Twins', 'Teeny Tiny Piggies', and Piggies that are QUITE LARGE!!! Of course, each and every Piggy Planter is special and each are named and numbered because they are individually unique and wonderful! From our #1 Piggy, 'Pansy', our very first Piggy Planter, to 'The Babe', our large Baseball themed Piggy, they are all amazingly special and looking for loving homes!

So that's how this business got started. I took cuttings from my beautiful plants and planted them in my vast collection of Piggy Banks!! Now the only thing left to do is for YOU to BUY THEM!   For LOTS and LOTS of MONEY!!! :)
